Our Ireland trip was started back in January of 2001 as a promotion
on Cheapfree.com
to see if nineteen year old Ian Grant and his girlfriend of two
years Keri King could do a random trip over to Ireland and document
the entire thing for people in the future that want to do something
similar. Within a month, we purchased our tickets for $750 a piece
and were booked for June 20th - 29th. The both of us researched
to death everything we needed for the trip including the bus schedules,
booking hostels, and attempting to raise money for the trip. Over
the course of time, we raised $690 for the entire trip from kind
Cheapfree readers, which includes two $250 Eagle Creek backpacks
from WalkAboutTravelGear.com.
On the trip we took a combined 800+ digital images, over an hour
and a half of high quality digital video, and seven rolls of Fuji
Neopan 100 Black and White/Fuji Velvia 50 Slide film. Quite the
undertaking. This site is our way of showing everything that goes
into a trip, what you need, and what we experienced to help you
